Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

- “How many of them died from All Causes?”

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 10,873 of 1,189,864 elderly women aged 65-69 living in Canada died from All Causes.
10,873 ÷ 1,189,864 = 0.00914 (2022 CDR)
The table shows there were a total of 105,475 deaths from All Causes among 10,539,122 elderly women aged 65-69 living in Canada in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.
105,475 ÷ 10,539,122 = 0.01001 (Old Normal CDR)
We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:
2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths
1,189,864 X 0.01001 = 11,908 expected deaths
The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:
10,873 – 11,908 = -1,035
Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:
10,873 ÷ 11,908 = 0.9122
This reveals 1,035 lives saved and is 91.22% of what we expected (a decrease of 9%) in deaths from All Causes among elderly women aged 65-69 living in Canada in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.
This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):
64,645 ÷ 7,410,500 = 0.00872 (5-yr CDR)
1,189,864(2022 pop) X 0.00872 = 10,380 expected deaths
The difference between actual and expected deaths:
10,873 – 10,380 = 493 or 493 lives lost
Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:
10,873 ÷ 10,380 = 1.0463 or an increase of 5%

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
