2023 vs New Normal™ for people aged 60-64 in Canada

    1. 19,527 of 19,527 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 11% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 22,010 of 22,010 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 2,483 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2023.
    6. 18,968 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2023)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 11% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2023 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many people aged 60-64 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – All Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 60-64 | Canada, Canada

Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Both Sexes - Aged 60-64 | Canada, Canada

    Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Aged 60-64 - [2000-2023] | Canada, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2023, 19,527 of 2,682,564 people aged 60-64 living in Canada died from All Causes.

    19,527 ÷ 2,682,564 = 0.00728 (2023 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Totals:
    25,687,451

    210,758

The table shows there were a total of 210,758 deaths from All Causes among 25,687,451 people aged 60-64 living in Canada in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    210,758 ÷ 25,687,451 = 0.00820 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2023 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    2,682,564 X 0.00820 = 22,010 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    19,52722,010 = -2,483

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    19,527 ÷ 22,010 = 0.8861

This reveals 2,483 lives saved and is 88.61% of what we expected (a decrease of 11%) in deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Canada in 2023, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    145,328 ÷ 19,722,011 = 0.00737 (5-yr CDR)

    2,682,564(2023 pop) X 0.00737 = 19,767 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    19,52719,767 = -240 or 240 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    19,527 ÷ 19,767 = 0.9865 or a decrease of 1%

for deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Canada in 2023, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    22,404,575 X 0.00820 = 183,823 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    164855183,823 = -18,968 or 18,968 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    164,855 ÷ 183,823 = 0.8957 or a decrease of 10%

in deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Canada in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
