    2022 vs New Normal™ for teen-aged boys aged 15-19 in Newfoundland

    1. 6 of 6 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 99.83% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 48% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 11 of 11 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 5 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 36 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 48% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

    Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many teen-aged boys aged 15-19 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

    The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Male – Aged 15-19 | Newfoundland, Canada

    Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Male - Aged 15-19 | Newfoundland, Canada

    Population – Male – Aged 15-19 – [2000-2022] | Newfoundland, Canada

    Graph showing Population - Male - Aged 15-19 - [2000-2022] | Newfoundland, Canada

    From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 6 of 14,069 teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Newfoundland died from All Causes.

    6 ÷ 14,069 = 0.00043 (2022 CDR)

    We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Cumulative:
    Population
    Deaths
    All Causes

    Totals:
    260,085
    211
    211

    The table shows there were a total of 211 deaths from All Causes among 260,085 teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Newfoundland in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    211 ÷ 260,085 = 0.00081 (Old Normal CDR)

    We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

    2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    14,069 X 0.00081 = 11 expected deaths

    The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    611 = -5

    Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    6 ÷ 11 = 0.5193

    This reveals 5 lives saved and is 51.93% of what we expected (a decrease of 48%) in deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Newfoundland in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

    This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    51 ÷ 99,994 = 0.00051 (5-yr CDR)

    14,069(2022 pop) X 0.00051 = 7 expected deaths

    The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    67 = -1 or 1 lives saved

    Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    6 ÷ 7 = 0.8201 or a decrease of 18%

    for deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Newfoundland in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

    Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

    Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

    New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    114,063 X 0.00081 = 93 expected deaths

    The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    5793 = -36 or 36 lives saved

    Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    57 ÷ 93 = 0.6085 or a decrease of 39%

    in deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Newfoundland in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

    The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

    The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
