2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly men and women aged 65-69 in Newfoundland

  1. 31 of 575 total deaths were from Unknown Causes
  2. 100.00% of all deaths were from Unknown Causes
  3. This is up 426% compared to Old Normal rates.
  4. 5 of 650 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
  5. 26 more deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022.
  6. 75 fewer All Cause deaths in 2022.

  8. 812 fewer All Cause deaths over the first 8 years of Newfoundland’s New Normal™.
  1. To show this year’s deaths from Unknown Causes are up 426% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

  • “How many elderly men and women aged 65-69 were there?” and
  • “How many of them died from Unknown Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – Unknown Causes – Elderly Men And Women – Aged 65-69 | Newfoundland, Canada

Graph showing Deaths - Unknown Causes - Elderly Men And Women - Aged 65-69 | Newfoundland, Canada

Graph showing Populalation - Elderly Men And Women - Aged 65-69 - [2000-2022] | Newfoundland, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 31 of 40,343 elderly men and women aged 65-69 living in Newfoundland died from Unknown Causes.

31 ÷ 40,343 = 0.00077 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from Unknown Causes

The table shows there were a total of 50 deaths from Unknown Causes among 367,487 elderly men and women aged 65-69 living in Newfoundland in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

50 ÷ 367,487 = 0.00014 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

40,343 X 0.00014 = 5 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

315 = 26

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

31 ÷ 5 = 5.2610

This reveals 26 lives lost and is 526.10% of what we expected (an increase of 426%) in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 65-69 living in Newfoundland in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

69 ÷ 268,444 = 0.00026 (5-yr CDR)

40,343(2022 pop) X 0.00026 = 10 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

3110 = 21 or 21 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

31 ÷ 10 = 2.8775 or an increase of 188%

for deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 65-69 living in Newfoundland in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

308,787 X 0.00014 = 42 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

10042 = 58 or 58 lives lost

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

100 ÷ 42 = 2.2172 or an increase of 122%

in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 65-69 living in Newfoundland in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.

Browse through the age-categorized charts below to see the evidence of this. Click on any chart to see the full analysis for each age group.

| All Ages |

383 of the 6,144 deaths among individuals of all ages living in Newfoundland in 2022 were from Unknown Causes (6.23% of all deaths).

This is up 312% compared to Old Normal (2000-2014) rates which, when applied to the this year's both sexes population of 525,972 individuals would have predicted 88 deaths from Unknown Causes.

This means there were 295 more deaths than expected from Unknown Causes among individuals of all ages living in Newfoundland in 2022.

To date, 803 individual lives have been lost to Unknown Causes over the first 8 years of Newfoundland's New Normal™.

Browse through the age categories below to learn how these deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022 are distributed among each age group of individuals in Newfoundland.

Click the bar graph above to see how both the 2022 loss of 295 lives and the 8-year loss of 803 individual lives from Unknown Causes is arrived at.
