  1. Total (692)

2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly men aged 80-84 in Saskatchewan

    1. 692 of 692 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 12% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 788 of 788 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 96 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 591 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 12% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many elderly men aged 80-84 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Male – Aged 80-84 | Saskatchewan, Canada

    Graph showing Population - Male - Aged 80-84 - [2001-2022] | Saskatchewan, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 692 of 10,339 elderly men aged 80-84 living in Saskatchewan died from All Causes.

    692 ÷ 10,339 = 0.06693 (2022 CDR)

    Population
    Deaths
    All Causes

    Totals:
    136,480
    10,405
    10,405

The table shows there were a total of 10,405 deaths from All Causes among 136,480 elderly men aged 80-84 living in Saskatchewan in the 14 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    10,405 ÷ 136,480 = 0.07624 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    10,339 X 0.07624 = 788 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    692788 = -96

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    692 ÷ 788 = 0.8778

This reveals 96 lives saved and is 87.78% of what we expected (a decrease of 12%) in deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 80-84 living in Saskatchewan in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    4,758 ÷ 68,898 = 0.06906 (5-yr CDR)

    10,339(2022 pop) X 0.06906 = 714 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    692714 = -22 or 22 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    692 ÷ 714 = 0.9691 or a decrease of 3%

for deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 80-84 living in Saskatchewan in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    79,237 X 0.07624 = 6,041 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    54506,041 = -591 or 591 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    5,450 ÷ 6,041 = 0.9021 or a decrease of 10%

in deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 80-84 living in Saskatchewan in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
