  1. Total (175)

2022 vs New Normal™ for teen-aged boys aged 15-19 in Alabama

    1. 175 of 175 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 99.99% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 8% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 189 of 189 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 14 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 3 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 8% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many teen-aged boys aged 15-19 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Male – Aged 15-19 | Alabama, United-states

    Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Male - Aged 15-19 | Alabama, United-states

    Population – Male – Aged 15-19 – [2000-2022] | Alabama, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Male - Aged 15-19 - [2000-2022] | Alabama, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 175 of 169,535 teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Alabama died from All Causes.

    175 ÷ 169,535 = 0.00103 (2022 CDR)

    Population
    Deaths
    All Causes

    Totals:
    2,526,707
    2,810
    2,810

The table shows there were a total of 2,810 deaths from All Causes among 2,526,707 teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Alabama in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    2,810 ÷ 2,526,707 = 0.00111 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    169,535 X 0.00111 = 189 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    175189 = -14

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    175 ÷ 189 = 0.9199

This reveals 14 lives saved and is 91.99% of what we expected (a decrease of 8%) in deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Alabama in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

    1,264

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    1,264 ÷ 1,127,101 = 0.00112 (5-yr CDR)

    169,535(2022 pop) X 0.00112 = 190 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    175190 = -15 or 15 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    175 ÷ 190 = 0.9123 or a decrease of 9%

for deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Alabama in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    1,296,636 X 0.00111 = 1,442 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    14391,442 = -3 or 3 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    1,439 ÷ 1,442 = 0.9890 or a decrease of 1%

in deaths from All Causes among teen-aged boys aged 15-19 living in Alabama in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
