Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many elderly men aged 65-69 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Male – Aged 65-69 | Delaware, United-states

    Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Male - Aged 65-69 | Delaware, United-states

    Population – Male – Aged 65-69 – [2000-2022] | Delaware, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Male - Aged 65-69 - [2000-2022] | Delaware, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 633 of 32,717 elderly men aged 65-69 living in Delaware died from All Causes.

    633 ÷ 32,717 = 0.01935 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Population
    Deaths
    All Causes

    Totals:
    266,023
    5,163
    5,163

The table shows there were a total of 5,163 deaths from All Causes among 266,023 elderly men aged 65-69 living in Delaware in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    5,163 ÷ 266,023 = 0.01941 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    32,717 X 0.01941 = 635 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    633635 = -2

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    633 ÷ 635 = 0.9964

This reveals 2 lives saved and is 99.64% of what we expected (a decrease of 0%) in deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 65-69 living in Delaware in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    3,586 ÷ 195,731 = 0.01832 (5-yr CDR)

    32,717(2022 pop) X 0.01832 = 599 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    633599 = 34 or 34 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    633 ÷ 599 = 1.0555 or an increase of 6%

for deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 65-69 living in Delaware in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    228,448 X 0.01941 = 4,434 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    42194,434 = -215 or 215 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    4,219 ÷ 4,434 = 0.9511 or a decrease of 5%

in deaths from All Causes among elderly men aged 65-69 living in Delaware in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
