2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly women aged 80+ in Georgia

    1. 20,751 of 20,751 total deaths were from All Causes

    6. 3,692 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 6% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many elderly women aged 80+ were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Female – Aged 80+ | Georgia, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 20,751 of 106,629 elderly women aged 80+ living in Georgia died from All Causes.

    20,751 ÷ 106,629 = 0.19461 (2022 CDR)

    Totals:
    1,169,222
    243,184
    243,184

The table shows there were a total of 243,184 deaths from All Causes among 1,169,222 elderly women aged 80+ living in Georgia in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    243,184 ÷ 1,169,222 = 0.20799 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    106,629 X 0.20799 = 22,178 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    20,75122,178 = -1,427

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    20,751 ÷ 22,178 = 0.9356

This reveals 1,427 lives saved and is 93.56% of what we expected (a decrease of 6%) in deaths from All Causes among elderly women aged 80+ living in Georgia in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

    657,385

    134,463

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    134,463 ÷ 657,385 = 0.20454 (5-yr CDR)

    106,629(2022 pop) X 0.20454 = 21,810 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    20,75121,810 = -1,059 or 1,059 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    20,751 ÷ 21,810 = 0.9514 or a decrease of 5%

for deaths from All Causes among elderly women aged 80+ living in Georgia in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    764,014 X 0.20799 = 158,906 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    155214158,906 = -3,692 or 3,692 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    155,214 ÷ 158,906 = 0.9767 or a decrease of 2%

in deaths from All Causes among elderly women aged 80+ living in Georgia in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
