  1. Total (422)

2022 vs New Normal™ for babies in their first year of life in Maryland

    1. 422 of 422 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 20% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 524 of 524 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 102 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 772 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 20% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many babies in their first year of life were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – All Causes – Baby – In Their First Year Of Life | Maryland, United-states

Graph showing Population - Baby - In Their First Year Of Life - [2000-2022] | Maryland, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 422 of 69,158 babies in their first year of life living in Maryland died from All Causes.

    422 ÷ 69,158 = 0.00610 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Population
    Deaths
    All Causes

    Totals:
    1,097,489
    8,321
    8,321

The table shows there were a total of 8,321 deaths from All Causes among 1,097,489 babies in their first year of life living in Maryland in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    8,321 ÷ 1,097,489 = 0.00758 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    69,158 X 0.00758 = 524 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    422524 = -102

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    422 ÷ 524 = 0.8038

This reveals 102 lives saved and is 80.38% of what we expected (a decrease of 20%) in deaths from All Causes among babies in their first year of life living in Maryland in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    3,081 ÷ 494,692 = 0.00623 (5-yr CDR)

    69,158(2022 pop) X 0.00623 = 431 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    422431 = -9 or 9 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    422 ÷ 431 = 0.9782 or a decrease of 2%

for deaths from All Causes among babies in their first year of life living in Maryland in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    563,850 X 0.00758 = 4,275 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    35034,275 = -772 or 772 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    3,503 ÷ 4,275 = 0.8183 or a decrease of 18%

in deaths from All Causes among babies in their first year of life living in Maryland in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
