2022 vs New Normal™ for women aged 60-64 in Massachusetts

    1. 1,645 of 1,645 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 3% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 1,699 of 1,699 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 54 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 1,233 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 3% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many women aged 60-64 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Female – Aged 60-64 | Massachusetts, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Female - Aged 60-64 - [2000-2022] | Massachusetts, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 1,645 of 241,867 women aged 60-64 living in Massachusetts died from All Causes.

    1,645 ÷ 241,867 = 0.00680 (2022 CDR)

    Totals:
    2,542,046

    17,859

The table shows there were a total of 17,859 deaths from All Causes among 2,542,046 women aged 60-64 living in Massachusetts in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    17,859 ÷ 2,542,046 = 0.00703 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    241,867 X 0.00703 = 1,699 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    1,6451,699 = -54

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    1,645 ÷ 1,699 = 0.9667

This reveals 54 lives saved and is 96.67% of what we expected (a decrease of 3%) in deaths from All Causes among women aged 60-64 living in Massachusetts in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    10,216 ÷ 1,621,913 = 0.00630 (5-yr CDR)

    241,867(2022 pop) X 0.00630 = 1,523 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    1,6451,523 = 122 or 122 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    1,645 ÷ 1,523 = 1.0781 or an increase of 8%

for deaths from All Causes among women aged 60-64 living in Massachusetts in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    1,863,780 X 0.00703 = 13,094 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    1186113,094 = -1,233 or 1,233 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    11,861 ÷ 13,094 = 0.9046 or a decrease of 10%

in deaths from All Causes among women aged 60-64 living in Massachusetts in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
