Excess Deaths
Quick Links
- There were a total of 3,279,754 deaths in United States in 2022
- 61,133 of all deaths were among those aged 40-44
61,133 deaths from All Causes were among people aged 40-44
2022 vs New Normal™ for people aged 40-44 in United States
- 61,133 of 61,133 total deaths were from All Causes
- 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
- This is up 28% compared to Old Normal rates.
- 47,623 of 47,623 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
- 13,510 excess deaths from All Causes in 2022.
- 40,151 excess deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
- To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are up 28% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.
Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:
- “How many people aged 40-44 were there?” and
- “How many of them died from All Causes?”
The following 2 charts provide this information:
Deaths – All Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 40-44 | United States, United-states
Population – Both Sexes – Aged 40-44 – [2000-2022] | United States, United-states
From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 61,133 of 21,427,416 people aged 40-44 living in United States died from All Causes.
61,133 ÷ 21,427,416 = 0.00285 (2022 CDR)
Deaths/100,000 Both Sexes 40-44 from All Causes
The table shows there were a total of 727,998 deaths from All Causes among 327,552,864 people aged 40-44 living in United States in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.
727,998 ÷ 327,552,864 = 0.00222 (Old Normal CDR)
We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:
2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths
21,427,416 X 0.00222 = 47,623 expected deaths
The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:
61,133 – 47,623 = 13,510
Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:
61,133 ÷ 47,623 = 1.2779
This reveals 13,510 lives lost and is 127.79% of what we expected (an increase of 28%) in deaths from All Causes among people aged 40-44 living in United States in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.
This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):
339,137 ÷ 140,603,170 = 0.00241 (5-yr CDR)
21,427,416(2022 pop) X 0.00241 = 51,683 expected deaths
The difference between actual and expected deaths:
61,133 – 51,683 = 9,450 or 9,450 lives lost
Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:
61,133 ÷ 51,683 = 1.1780 or an increase of 18%
for deaths from All Causes among people aged 40-44 living in United States in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.
Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?
Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:
New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths
162,030,586 X 0.00222 = 360,119 expected deaths
The difference between actual and expected deaths:
400270 – 360,119 = 40,151 or 40,151 lives lost
Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:
400,270 ÷ 360,119 = 1.1065 or an increase of 11%
in deaths from All Causes among people aged 40-44 living in United States in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.
The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly
The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
