2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly men and women aged 90+ in Ontario

  1. 1,312 of 26,462 total deaths were from Unknown Causes
  2. 4.96% of all deaths were from Unknown Causes
  3. This is up 75% compared to Old Normal rates.
  4. 750 of 23,296 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
  5. 562 excess deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022.
  6. 3,166 excess All Cause deaths in 2022.
  7. 1,257 excess deaths from Unknown Causes (2015-2022)
  8. 6,430 excess All Cause deaths over the first 8 years of Ontario’s New Normal™.
  1. To show this year’s deaths from Unknown Causes are up 75% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

  • “How many elderly men and women aged 90+ were there?” and
  • “How many of them died from Unknown Causes?”

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
