2022 vs New Normal™ for pre-schoolers aged 0-4 in Alberta

    1. 306 of 306 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is down 12% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 346 of 346 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 40 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 630 fewer than expected deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are down 12% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many pre-schoolers aged 0-4 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – All Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 0-4 | Alberta, Canada

Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Both Sexes - Aged 0-4 | Alberta, Canada

    Population – Both Sexes – Aged 0-4 – [2001-2022] | Alberta, Canada

    Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Aged 0-4 - [2001-2022] | Alberta, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 306 of 257,511 pre-schoolers aged 0-4 living in Alberta died from All Causes.

    306 ÷ 257,511 = 0.00119 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    All Causes

    Totals:
    3,150,956
    4,233
    4,233

The table shows there were a total of 4,233 deaths from All Causes among 3,150,956 pre-schoolers aged 0-4 living in Alberta in the 14 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    4,233 ÷ 3,150,956 = 0.00134 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    257,511 X 0.00134 = 346 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    306346 = -40

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    306 ÷ 346 = 0.8780

This reveals 40 lives saved and is 87.80% of what we expected (a decrease of 12%) in deaths from All Causes among pre-schoolers aged 0-4 living in Alberta in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    1,950 ÷ 1,890,506 = 0.00103 (5-yr CDR)

    257,511(2022 pop) X 0.00103 = 266 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    306266 = 40 or 40 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    306 ÷ 266 = 1.1410 or an increase of 14%

for deaths from All Causes among pre-schoolers aged 0-4 living in Alberta in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    2,148,017 X 0.00134 = 2,886 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    22562,886 = -630 or 630 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    2,256 ÷ 2,886 = 0.7760 or a decrease of 22%

in deaths from All Causes among pre-schoolers aged 0-4 living in Alberta in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
