2022 vs New Normal™ for women all ages in Alberta

    1. 15,123 of 15,123 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is up 20% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 12,610 of 12,610 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 2,513 excess deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 5,738 excess deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are up 20% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many women all ages were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – All Causes – Female – All Ages | Alberta, Canada

Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Female - All Ages | Alberta, Canada

    Population – Female – All Ages – [2001-2022] | Alberta, Canada

Graph showing Population - Female - All Ages - [2001-2022] | Alberta, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 15,123 of 2,261,096 women all ages living in Alberta died from All Causes.

    15,123 ÷ 2,261,096 = 0.00669 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Totals:
    24,442,676
    136,311
    136,311

The table shows there were a total of 136,311 deaths from All Causes among 24,442,676 women all ages living in Alberta in the 14 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    136,311 ÷ 24,442,676 = 0.00558 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    2,261,096 X 0.00558 = 12,610 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    15,12312,610 = 2,513

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    15,123 ÷ 12,610 = 1.1972

This reveals 2,513 lives lost and is 119.72% of what we expected (an increase of 20%) in deaths from All Causes among women all ages living in Alberta in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

    86,515

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    86,515 ÷ 14,935,308 = 0.00579 (5-yr CDR)

    2,261,096(2022 pop) X 0.00579 = 13,098 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    15,12313,098 = 2,025 or 2,025 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    15,123 ÷ 13,098 = 1.1526 or an increase of 15%

for deaths from All Causes among women all ages living in Alberta in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    17,196,404 X 0.00558 = 95,900 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    10163895,900 = 5,738 or 5,738 lives lost

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    101,638 ÷ 95,900 = 1.0579 or an increase of 6%

in deaths from All Causes among women all ages living in Alberta in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
