2022 vs New Normal™ for individuals of all ages in Quebec

  1. 4,877 of 78,084 total deaths were from Unknown Causes
  2. 6.25% of all deaths were from Unknown Causes
  3. This is up 258% compared to Old Normal rates.
  4. 1,275 of 64,859 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
  5. 3,602 excess deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022.
  6. 13,225 excess All Cause deaths in 2022.
  7. 9,772 excess deaths from Unknown Causes (2015-2022)
  8. 53,525 excess All Cause deaths over the first 8 years of Quebec’s New Normal™.
  1. To show this year’s deaths from Unknown Causes are up 258% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

  • “How many individuals of all ages were there?” and
  • “How many of them died from Unknown Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

Deaths – Unknown Causes – Both Sexes – Of All Ages | Quebec, Canada

Graph showing Deaths - Unknown Causes - Both Sexes - Of All Ages | Quebec, Canada

Population – Both Sexes – Of All Ages – [2000-2022] | Quebec, Canada

Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Of All Ages - [2000-2022] | Quebec, Canada

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 4,877 of 8,673,184 individuals of all ages living in Quebec died from Unknown Causes.

4,877 ÷ 8,673,184 = 0.00056 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from Unknown Causes

Cumulative:

Totals:

17,045

The table shows there were a total of 17,045 deaths from Unknown Causes among 115,976,865 individuals of all ages living in Quebec in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

17,045 ÷ 115,976,865 = 0.00015 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

8,673,184 X 0.00015 = 1,275 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

4,8771,275 = 3,602

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

4,877 ÷ 1,275 = 3.5823

This reveals 3,602 lives lost and is 358.23% of what we expected (an increase of 258%) in deaths from Unknown Causes among individuals of all ages living in Quebec in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

14,795 ÷ 58,686,863 = 0.00025 (5-yr CDR)

8,673,184(2022 pop) X 0.00025 = 2,187 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

4,8772,187 = 2,690 or 2,690 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

4,877 ÷ 2,187 = 2.1454 or an increase of 115%

for deaths from Unknown Causes among individuals of all ages living in Quebec in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

67,360,047 X 0.00015 = 9,900 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

196729,900 = 9,772 or 9,772 lives lost

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

19,672 ÷ 9,900 = 1.8605 or an increase of 86%

in deaths from Unknown Causes among individuals of all ages living in Quebec in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
