2022 vs New Normal™ for people aged 60-64 in Kentucky

    1. 4,922 of 4,922 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is up 23% compared to Old Normal rates.

    5. 912 excess deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 4,056 excess deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are up 23% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many people aged 60-64 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 60-64 | Kentucky, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Aged 60-64 - [2000-2022] | Kentucky, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 4,922 of 294,830 people aged 60-64 living in Kentucky died from All Causes.

    4,922 ÷ 294,830 = 0.01669 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Totals:
    3,308,520
    44,997
    44,997

The table shows there were a total of 44,997 deaths from All Causes among 3,308,520 people aged 60-64 living in Kentucky in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    44,997 ÷ 3,308,520 = 0.01360 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    294,830 X 0.01360 = 4,010 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    4,9224,010 = 912

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    4,922 ÷ 4,010 = 1.2266

This reveals 912 lives lost and is 122.66% of what we expected (an increase of 23%) in deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Kentucky in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    30,487 ÷ 2,010,499 = 0.01516 (5-yr CDR)

    294,830(2022 pop) X 0.01516 = 4,471 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    4,9224,471 = 451 or 451 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    4,922 ÷ 4,471 = 1.1002 or an increase of 10%

for deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Kentucky in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    2,305,329 X 0.01360 = 31,353 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    3540931,353 = 4,056 or 4,056 lives lost

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    35,409 ÷ 31,353 = 1.1285 or an increase of 13%

in deaths from All Causes among people aged 60-64 living in Kentucky in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
