2022 vs New Normal™ for people aged 55-59 in Texas

    1. 13,543 of 13,543 total deaths were from All Causes
    2. 100.00% of all deaths were from All Causes
    3. This is up 5% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 12,903 of 12,903 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 640 excess deaths from All Causes in 2022.
    6. 4,907 excess deaths from All Causes (2015-2022)
    1. To show this year’s deaths from All Causes are up 5% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many people aged 55-59 were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from All Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – All Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 55-59 | Texas, United-states

Graph showing Deaths - All Causes - Both Sexes - Aged 55-59 | Texas, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Aged 55-59 - [2000-2022] | Texas, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 13,543 of 1,684,359 people aged 55-59 living in Texas died from All Causes.

    13,543 ÷ 1,684,359 = 0.00804 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from All Causes

    Totals:
    19,201,654
    147,091
    147,091

The table shows there were a total of 147,091 deaths from All Causes among 19,201,654 people aged 55-59 living in Texas in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    147,091 ÷ 19,201,654 = 0.00766 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    1,684,359 X 0.00766 = 12,903 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    13,54312,903 = 640

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    13,543 ÷ 12,903 = 1.0483

This reveals 640 lives lost and is 104.83% of what we expected (an increase of 5%) in deaths from All Causes among people aged 55-59 living in Texas in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    95,432 ÷ 11,900,942 = 0.00802 (5-yr CDR)

    1,684,359(2022 pop) X 0.00802 = 13,507 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    13,54313,507 = 36 or 36 lives lost

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    13,543 ÷ 13,507 = 1.0014 or an increase of 0%

for deaths from All Causes among people aged 55-59 living in Texas in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    13,585,301 X 0.00766 = 104,068 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    108975104,068 = 4,907 or 4,907 lives lost

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    108,975 ÷ 104,068 = 1.0458 or an increase of 5%

in deaths from All Causes among people aged 55-59 living in Texas in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
