2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly men aged 80+ in United States

    1. 14,231 of 577,899 total deaths were from Unknown Causes
    2. 2.46% of all deaths were from Unknown Causes
    3. This is down 12% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 16,136 of 551,913 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 1,905 fewer than expected deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022.
    6. 25,986 excess All Cause deaths in 2022.
    7. 7,532 fewer than expected deaths from Unknown Causes (2015-2022)
    8. 206,551 excess All Cause deaths over the first 8 years of United States’s New Normal™.
    1. To show this year’s deaths from Unknown Causes are down 12% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many elderly men aged 80+ were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from Unknown Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – Unknown Causes – Male – Aged 80+ | United States, United-states

Graph showing Deaths - Unknown Causes - Male - Aged 80+ | United States, United-states

    Population – Male – Aged 80+ – [2000-2022] | United States, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Male - Aged 80+ - [2000-2022] | United States, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 14,231 of 2,825,159 elderly men aged 80+ living in United States died from Unknown Causes.

    14,231 ÷ 2,825,159 = 0.00504 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from Unknown Causes

    Totals:
    32,750,625
    6,398,050
    187,053

The table shows there were a total of 187,053 deaths from Unknown Causes among 32,750,625 elderly men aged 80+ living in United States in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    187,053 ÷ 32,750,625 = 0.00571 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    2,825,159 X 0.00571 = 16,136 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    14,23116,136 = -1,905

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    14,231 ÷ 16,136 = 0.8804

This reveals 1,905 lives saved and is 88.04% of what we expected (a decrease of 12%) in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men aged 80+ living in United States in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    97,697 ÷ 18,090,764 = 0.00540 (5-yr CDR)

    2,825,159(2022 pop) X 0.00540 = 15,257 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    14,23115,257 = -1,026 or 1,026 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    14,231 ÷ 15,257 = 0.9310 or a decrease of 7%

for deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men aged 80+ living in United States in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    20,915,923 X 0.00571 = 119,460 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    111928119,460 = -7,532 or 7,532 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    111,928 ÷ 119,460 = 0.9353 or a decrease of 6%

in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men aged 80+ living in United States in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
