2022 vs New Normal™ for elderly men and women aged 80+ in United States

    1. 30,620 of 1,350,602 total deaths were from Unknown Causes
    2. 2.27% of all deaths were from Unknown Causes
    3. This is down 12% compared to Old Normal rates.
    4. 34,550 of 1,307,936 total deaths would have been expected under Old Normal conditions.
    5. 3,930 fewer than expected deaths from Unknown Causes in 2022.
    6. 42,666 excess All Cause deaths in 2022.
    7. 11,866 fewer than expected deaths from Unknown Causes (2015-2022)
    8. 524,646 excess All Cause deaths over the first 8 years of United States’s New Normal™.
    1. To show this year’s deaths from Unknown Causes are down 12% compared to Old Normal rates, we need to calculate the rates for both 2022 and for the Old Normal.

Remember, death rates are calculated to answer these questions:

    • “How many elderly men and women aged 80+ were there?” and
    • “How many of them died from Unknown Causes?”

The following 2 charts provide this information:

    Deaths – Unknown Causes – Both Sexes – Aged 80+ | United States, United-states

Graph showing Deaths - Unknown Causes - Both Sexes - Aged 80+ | United States, United-states

    Graph showing Population - Both Sexes - Aged 80+ - [2000-2022] | United States, United-states

From the charts, we can see that in 2022, 30,620 of 6,659,545 elderly men and women aged 80+ living in United States died from Unknown Causes.

    30,620 ÷ 6,659,545 = 0.00460 (2022 CDR)

We’ll use the table below to calculate our Old Normal rate for deaths from Unknown Causes

    Totals:
    83,551,456
    16,409,527
    433,463

The table shows there were a total of 433,463 deaths from Unknown Causes among 83,551,456 elderly men and women aged 80+ living in United States in the 15 years immediately prior to the New Normal™.

    433,463 ÷ 83,551,456 = 0.00519 (Old Normal CDR)

We can use the Old Normal rate to predict this year’s deaths:

2022 pop X Old Normal CDR = expected deaths

    6,659,545 X 0.00519 = 34,550 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths shows lives saved or lost:

    30,62034,550 = -3,930

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths gives us the comparative rates:

    30,620 ÷ 34,550 = 0.8846

This reveals 3,930 lives saved and is 88.46% of what we expected (a decrease of 12%) in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 80+ living in United States in 2022, as compared to the Old Normal.

This is the same method used by Public Health to calculate the 5-yr CDR (Cumulative Death Rate):

    214,321 ÷ 42,840,805 = 0.00500 (5-yr CDR)

    6,659,545(2022 pop) X 0.00500 = 33,316 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    30,62033,316 = -2,696 or 2,696 lives saved

Divide actual deaths by expected deaths:

    30,620 ÷ 33,316 = 0.9172 or a decrease of 8%

for deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 80+ living in United States in 2022, as compared to the previous 5 years.

Compare our Old Normal to the 5yr CDR. Does it tell the same story your TV does?

Finally, the same method can also be used to compare our Old Normal rate to the New Normal™ rate:

New Normal™ population X Old Normal rate = expected deaths

    49,500,350 X 0.00519 = 256,807 expected deaths

The difference between actual and expected deaths:

    244941256,807 = -11,866 or 11,866 lives saved

Dividing the actual deaths by the expected deaths:

    244,941 ÷ 256,807 = 0.9520 or a decrease of 5%

in deaths from Unknown Causes among elderly men and women aged 80+ living in United States in the New Normal™, as compared to the Old Normal.

The world has been led to believe that a deadly pandemic swept the globe beginning in 2020, causing an increase in death rates, especially among the elderly

The data show that death rates began to increase in 2015, immediately upon implementation of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, that young adults have experienced ever-increasing death rates since, and that death rates among the elderly have remained relatively stable.
